The Nursing Department is a very dynamic team. We are a teaching and research oriented hospital with an outstanding reputation for Nursing Care. This reputation comes from being the premiere healthcare institution serving our community. To compliment our sophisticated, high technology equipment and superb Nursing Staff, we have added many new Clinical Programs and Services. Our top priority is to providing patient centered care that focuses on every patient's emotional, spiritual and physical needs.

The framework within which care is provided is the Nursing process — assessment, planning intervention and evaluation. The Department of Nursing is responsible for the practice and quality of nursing care. Nursing care is provided in collaboration with other members of the health care team to patients of all ages in inpatient, outpatient and emergency settings.

The Nursing Education Department provides orientation to new personnel, ongoing in-services and multidisciplinary seminars throughout the year. In addition, with the Community Training Center, nursing staff can attend courses for primary certification and renewal of CPR, BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NALS and TNCC.

During the summer months (June, July and August) we offer a Student Internship Program for Junior and Senior BSN students.

Nursing recruitment is continuous throughout the year. Employment opportunities are available for staff, staff educators and management positions. You may fax or email your resume. All resumes are welcome and will be reviewed for prospective employment.
